We don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer.

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team working on the control system for the Leksell Gamma Knife. This safety-critical system enables precise and safe radiation treatment, spanning from user interface to real-time embedded and mechatronic components.

Based in our new Forskaren office in Stockholm, you’ll be part of a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to both new development and product maintenance in a regulated MedTech setting.

Your responsibilities

You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines, contributing hands-on to the development and evolution of our electronics platform. Your role combines technical depth with cross-functional collaboration, ensuring solutions meet high standards for quality, safety, and performance. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and improve electronic systems (including testing, debugging, and lab work)
  • Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and EMC requirements
  • Handle product maintenance, obsolescence, and complaint investigations
  • Collaborate across R&D, production, quality, supply chain, and external partners
  • Contribute to technical reviews, documentation, and future platform development

What You Bring

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer with strong experience in electronics development and a solid system-level understanding, who enjoys staying close to hands-on design and implementation. You are comfortable working across disciplines and motivated by contributing to technology that improves patient treatment. Apart from this, we expect you to have:

  • M.Sc. in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar, and at least five years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in electrical system design
  • Experience with analog and digital design, schematics, EMC, and electrical safety
  • Hands-on lab skills, measurement experience, and confidence working with prototypes and equipment
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Valid work permit for Sweden
  • Meritorious: Experience of VHDL, power electronics, or medical device development.

If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. We recognize that strong candidates bring different strengths, and there is room to shape the role depending on your experience, as long as core requirements are met.
