Ängby School is a K-6 school with approximately 350 students, located in the beautiful nature of Knivsta, right next to the Uppland Highway. Our unique proximity to forests and nature provides fantastic opportunities for outdoor pedagogy and movement in everyday life, which we see as an important part of the students' learning and well-being.

We are now looking for a substitute teacher for the middle school (grades 4-6) with qualifications to teach Swedish, Social Studies (SO), English, and Mathematics, who wants to contribute to a school where learning, community, and development are at the center. RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher Grades 4-6
Qualifications in Swedish, Social Studies (SO), Mathematics, and English
We are looking for an engaged and certified teacher for instruction in grades 4–6. The position includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching, as well as mentorship for a student group. You will actively work to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.
Job Duties
The position includes:
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in Swedish, Social Studies (SO), and English according to the current curriculum.
- Adapting teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
- Assessing, documenting, and following up on students' knowledge development.
- Conducting formative and summative assessment and setting grades in accordance with regulatory documents.
- Being responsible for development conferences and written documentation related to students' learning.
- Serving as a mentor for a student group and supporting the students' academic, social, and personal development.
- Maintaining regular contact and collaboration with guardians.
- Collaborating with colleagues, student health services, and school leadership to promote students' learning and well-being.
- Actively participating in the work team's and the school's joint development work.
- Contributing to a safe and study-peace-promoting school environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who:
- Are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 4–6.
- Have qualifications in Swedish, Social Studies (SO), English, and Mathematics.
- Have good knowledge of the curriculum, assessment, and documentation.
- Have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented.
- Have an inclusive approach and clear leadership in the classroom.
- See collaboration as a natural part of the assignment.
Other Information
- Salary: Monthly salary.
- Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
- Duration: 6 months or longer.
