About Us

The Support Unit works with support and change initiatives aimed at adults with, for example, mental health issues, substance abuse problems, social psychiatry needs, and other social difficulties. As a housing support worker, you work closely with the individual in their daily life, basing your work on individual needs, implementation plans, and a motivating and supportive approach.

In our Adult Team, in addition to housing support workers, we also have addiction counselors and treatment secretaries working in close collaboration to create safety, structure, and support for change. We also have a Family Team with family therapists who support children, young people, and families in need of support, guidance, and change initiatives.

We are now looking for hourly paid housing support workers for the Support Unit within the Individual and Family Care in Lilla Edet Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As a housing support worker, you provide support to adults in their daily lives. The work may involve helping to create structure at home, motivating for change, supporting in social situations, and working towards increased independence and quality of life.

The work is tailored to the individual's needs and is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and other partners.

In your work, you meet people in various life situations and play an important role in creating safety, trust, and hope for change.

The working hours as a housing support worker are primarily during daytime, Monday–Sunday, with evening shifts on Thursdays.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure, flexible, and has a good manner of dealing with people. You must be able to work independently, take responsibility, and have good teamwork skills.

Experience in social work, mental health, substance abuse, or supportive counseling is advantageous. Education in social work or other education deemed relevant by the employer is also advantageous.

A Category B driver's license is required.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
