Study and Career Counselor for Primary School in Tibro Municipality

We are looking for you who are trained as a study and career counselor and who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people. You are confident in your professional role and have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

• Confident in conducting guidance conversations
• Engaged in students' future opportunities

It is an advantage if you have experience working within primary school as well as knowledge of upper secondary school admission and the education system.

Your daily work

In the role of study and career counselor, you work both strategically and close to the students' daily lives. You are a support for students regarding the choice of upper secondary school and contribute to strengthening their knowledge about education, working life, and future opportunities.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• guiding students regarding upper secondary school choices, if necessary together with guardians
• following up on upper secondary school admission, including students under other authorities
• carrying out guidance measures based on the primary school curriculum
• being responsible for PRAO (Workplace Experience) in grades 7–9
• administering Praktikplatsen
• representing the municipality in the Skaraborg network "SYV-primary school"
• coordinating the municipality's SSA work
