Do you enjoy when mathematical reasoning holds up all the way, science labs lead to genuine "aha" moments, and technology becomes a natural tool for understanding the world? Then you could be our next teacher of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology at Ektorpsskolan, where the focus is on knowledge, development, and teaching that actually makes a difference.

Who are we?

At Ektorpsskolan, our mission is clear: we aim to provide students with strong academic results, a conducive study environment, and a stable foundation for upper secondary school and the future. We are a municipal school for grades 7–9 with a strong focus on learning, quality, and language development. The school is located in Ektorp with good transport links and proximity to both the city and nature, offering excellent opportunities to create concrete, real-world teaching situations in mathematics, natural sciences, and technology.

We are an organization with a clear development focus where teaching, follow-up, and analysis are central. Here, teachers, student health services, and other staff collaborate closely regarding teaching, study environment, and results. We have a well-functioning student health service where perspectives on Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) and adaptations are integrated parts of the school's work. Our culture is characterized by shared leadership, collaboration, and collegial drive – we develop teaching together, share materials, test new methods, and follow up on how this affects student learning.

Your responsibilities

In this position, you will teach Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology in grades 7–9 with a clear focus on knowledge development, structure, and study environment. You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and other governing documents, using both proven methods and digital tools to create clarity, progression, and motivation among students. You will actively contribute to work teams, subject teams, and the school's systematic quality work, where analysis and development of teaching are important parts of daily life.

You work with adaptations and support measures for students in need of support, particularly students with NDD, and create clear, accessible learning environments. You collaborate closely with the student health service, colleagues, and guardians to find solutions that truly support students' knowledge development. The position is located during daytime hours on-site at the school, and you will receive a thoughtful introduction and, if needed, a mentor so that you quickly get into our ways of working and our culture.

  • Teach Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology in grades 7–9 with a focus on structure, study environment, and academic results
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the curriculum and other governing documents
  • Create clear, accessible learning environments and make adaptations for students in need of support, including students with NDD
  • Collaborate closely with work teams, subject teams, and the student health service regarding students' knowledge development and goal fulfillment
  • Maintain continuous, professional contact with guardians and collaborate with external actors if necessary
  • Actively participate in the school's development and quality work with a focus on language-developing and inclusive teaching

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Technology for grades 7–9, and you thrive when teaching and knowledge development are your core tasks. You have experience teaching in grades 7–9 and work systematically with planning, clear goals, assessment, and follow-up of results. You also have experience teaching students with NDD or other support needs and know how clarity, predictability, and relevant adaptations make teaching more accessible.

As a person, you are confident in your teaching role, clear in your leadership, and consistent in your approach, while keeping things simple and understandable for students. You enjoy collaboration, collegial learning, and shared structures, as you know this leads to better teaching and more time for what is most important: student learning. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and communicate directly, respectfully, and solution-focused with students, guardians, and colleagues.

  • Teaching certification with qualifications in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Technology for grades 7–9
  • Experience teaching in grades 7–9
  • Experience teaching students with NDD or other support needs
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Very good knowledge of the school's governing documents and how they are implemented in teaching and assessment
  • Ability to create structure, study environment, and sustainable collaborations with colleagues and guardians

We look forward to receiving your application!
