We are now looking for you who want to work meaningfully every day and be part of other people's lives by promoting self-determination, participation, and development!

About the operations

Kryddhyllan 22 started a year ago, and the focus of the operations is within social psychiatry and co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis). The facility is staffed around the clock, and we work based on the individual's needs, participation, and right to self-determination.

A respectful and pedagogical approach is a matter of course with us. We work, among other things, with ESL (Independent Life), MI (Motivational Interviewing), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and LAB (Low-Arousal Approach).

The unit also has a support pedagogue who, together with the work group, drives and develops the pedagogical work forward.

About the role

As a support assistant, you help create structure, security, and opportunities in people's daily lives. You work closely with the tenants and always base your work on the individual's needs, abilities, and interests.

You support the tenants in their daily lives and work to strengthen self-determination, participation, and good quality of life. The goal is for every person to have the best possible conditions to live an independent and meaningful life.

As a support assistant, you provide support with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, while simultaneously motivating and enabling an active and meaningful leisure time based on the individual's wishes and needs. You work based on implementation plans and individually set goals, and document according to current guidelines. The role also includes being a contact person, collaborating with relatives, and other actors in the individual's network.

You work both independently and together with colleagues in an engaged team where collaboration, responsibility, and development are important parts of everyday life.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. The position belongs to the collaboration area in Gårdsten.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Nursing Programme, the Support Assistant Programme, or the Child and Youth Programme with a focus on social and pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The courses should be within behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) nursing or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Communication is an important part of the work, which means you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent, you may be offered to take a language test via the test provider Educateit.

For the position, it is required that you have worked with people with mental disabilities and complex needs. Experience with co-occurring disorders is meritorious.

We would like you to have knowledge of and experience with several of the following methods: LAB (Low-Arousal Approach), AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), ESL (Independent Life), and MI (Motivational Interviewing).

We are looking for you who take responsibility for your own and the group's tasks. You think about those we are here for and their best interests. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You show respect for everyone you meet at work. You are inviting and positive. You work to ensure the tenant gets what they need.

We are curious about you and warmly welcome your application!
