One of our colleagues will be on study leave, so we are now looking for a nurse who wants to become part of our tight-knit team on the pre- and postoperative ward in Trelleborg.

The pre- and postoperative ward is part of the Business Area (VO) Planned Operations, which includes elective surgical activities where orthopedic and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery make up the majority of the tasks, but we also perform jaw, neck-spine, and dental surgeries. The unit consists of pre- and postoperative care characterized by high quality and large volumes. A large part of our patients are children.

The postoperative ward is a 24/7 operation, holiday-free from Monday through Friday night. We use Multiaccess for scheduling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you will work with pre- and postoperative care for both inpatients and day surgery patients. A large part of our patients are children, and some of them have special needs. We have close cooperation with the staff on the operating department, clinics, and the care ward, all to optimize our joint care of the patient. The position includes both day and night shifts.

We work in teams where a nurse and a nursing assistant are responsible for a station. Here we actively work on improving our processes and create opportunities to participate in competence-enhancing work. We organize four training days per year together with the operating department and anesthesia.

We care deeply about our patients and always work with the patient's needs in focus. Our unit is characterized by high patient flows that require planning, foresight, and the ability to quickly adapt to new conditions. The ability to provide good patient interaction as well as cooperation with other staff categories within the unit and external actors is of great importance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare and are a specialized nurse in anesthesia, postoperative, or intensive care. You must also have experience in pre- and postoperative care. Proficiency in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.

We see that you have a strong ability to work in a team, are flexible, and have a good ability to prioritize in stressful situations. You are a person who takes initiative, has a solution-oriented approach and a positive attitude, and personally contributes to a good work environment.
