About the workplace

The Adult Department has the overall responsibility for the target group of adults with intellectual disabilities, harmful use and addiction, co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis), and criminal lifestyles. We now have an exciting opportunity for you who are looking for a broad and varied position as a therapist and housing support worker. We are looking for a therapist/housing support worker for our assistance section, which also includes support pedagogues within social psychiatry. The assistance section consists of 15 employees, coordinators, and the section manager.

What does the job entail?

As a therapist and housing support worker in the assistance section, you will receive assignments from the authority section. We work based on various methods such as: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing), Criminality as a Lifestyle, relapse prevention, CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), and controlled drinking. In assignments as housing support, the purpose is for you to provide support so that the individual can manage their daily life. You meet and work with individuals with different needs, and it is important that you see where the individual is and what needs they have.

We have a well-developed section with high job satisfaction that works based on set goals and continuously evaluates and adjusts interventions based on the effects we see.

We are in a development phase where the social services' tasks continue to change – not least with the co-occurring disorders reform in sight. The role may develop over time in line with upcoming changes, which places demands on flexibility and an adaptable approach.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with a degree in social work or alternatively another education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with people with addiction issues and co-occurring disorders. As a person, you are relationship-building, curious, and goal- and results-oriented. You contribute to job satisfaction, are confident in yourself, and have good self-awareness. You have experience in establishing contacts and collaborating with other healthcare providers and authorities. Regular documentation of assistance-decided interventions is required in the position.
