About the job

We are looking for you with experience working within social services!

Mottag 1, on the Children and Young People Department, offers a varied and meaningful job working together with children and their families. Our office is located in Hjällbo, and the reception team consists of ten social secretaries, two first-hand social secretaries, and a unit manager, which enables close supervision and methodological guidance both in groups and individually.

The Children and Young People Reception Unit 1 is characterized by broad competence, a good work climate where employees have great commitment, and where management has many years of experience. We work for the best interests of the child and have close and non-hierarchical collegial support.

We work based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU), as well as using the working methods Children's Needs in Focus (BBiC), Signs of Safety, and LÖSA!. We receive reports of concern and applications regarding children aged 0–17, meet with families, and conduct risk and safety assessments regarding the children's situations, as well as legally secure pre-assessments as a basis for whether an investigation according to the Social Services Act should be initiated or not. We also handle certain statements.

An important task is also to prevent misinformation by meeting those we serve and other professionals on their turf to create dialogue and provide correct information about social services work. We provide good service, advice, and support to those who contact social services for children and their families, and according to the new Social Services Act, guide families who wish and are receptive to support to society's assistance measures.

On the Children and Young People department, different working time innovations are being implemented. At the reception, we have been testing Smart Efficient Working Time (SEAT) for some time, which means six hours per day at the office and, if the operations allow, two hours of reflection time per day, with the aim of contributing to a more sustainable and healthy working life.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social work degree and experience in authority enforcement from before. You have a particular interest in areas such as norm-breaking behavior, mental ill health, domestic violence, and children's rights and needs.

The applicant has a clear child perspective and values good treatment. You strive to reach the families we meet, proceed from the equal value of all, and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You are responsible for your and the joint tasks with the best interests of the child in focus. You enjoy documenting, are sensitive, and listen to other people in order to understand their needs. You think collaboration is important and you are attracted by a varied job.

There are many actors around children and young people, and we therefore place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate, both internally and externally, which requires a high degree of flexibility and personal responsibility. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You have an open outlook and approach, and you have the ability to see solutions instead of obstacles in the work with the children, their families, and the other network around the child.
