Who we are

The Unit for Work and Integration is part of the Individual and Family Care department. At Work and Integration, we investigate the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act and lead and coordinate measures against unemployment. We also work with individuals who have permanent or temporary residence permits, focusing on establishment and integration. In our work, we collaborate with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Adult Education, the municipality’s business development function, and other social services, among others. We offer an inclusive working environment and the opportunity to make an impact and create change. Our temporary premises are located at Brogatan 10.

This is your job

As a Social Secretary within financial assistance, you will investigate the need for and decide on the right to financial assistance according to current legislation. The duties also include simpler counseling, planning, and coordination in both internal and external contacts. You will collaborate closely with the unit’s labor market secretaries, and together you will support individuals toward self-sufficiency.

This is what we are looking for in you

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another higher education qualification that the employer considers equivalent. It is desirable that you have experience with motivational interviewing and experience working in Procapita/Lifecare. We place great emphasis on personal maturity and suitability. To thrive in the role of Social Secretary, we see that you are responsible, flexible, and driven as a person. You have an easy time making decisions based on current legislation. You have the ability to work independently while also having good teamwork skills and relating to others in a listening manner. We want you to have experience of authority exercise within financial assistance.

Conditions for the position

• Degree in social work or another higher education qualification that the employer considers equivalent.
• Class B driver’s license

About the employment

• Permanent position
• Individual salary setting applies, please state salary requirements
• A certificate from the Police Authority showing no criminal record is required before employment
• Start date: August 17, or as agreed.
