First-line Social Services

Haninge Municipality is adapting to the social services of the future and has therefore established a first-line social service. Here, we have gathered early and preventive advice and support measures with the goal of offering residents help at an early stage to prevent serious problems. We aim to be close to the residents and make it easier to contact social services.

We are now looking for an experienced therapist/counselor for MiniMaria Haninge.

We are an outpatient clinic serving young people and young adults up to the age of 25 and their relatives. We work with open interventions on behalf of the social services' authority department, in collaboration with nurses, psychologists, and doctors from the region's addiction center. Our joint mission is to work according to the national guidelines for the treatment of substance use.

Job Responsibilities

At MiniMaria in Haninge, four therapists from the municipality work together with nurses from the region. We have access to doctors and psychologists one day a week. We offer motivational and treatment sessions, substance use assessments, and support for parents/relatives. MiniMaria in Haninge offers family therapy in the form of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to families with young people who have a substance use problem or risky behavior regarding drugs and/or alcohol, and we have regular educational supervision in FFT.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A social work degree or equivalent education that the employer deems suitable, such as basic psychotherapy (Step 1).
• Good experience from independent therapeutic work with children, adolescents, and/or young adults with substance use issues.
• Experience in making assessments from a social services perspective.

Merits:

• Education and experience in FFT are particularly meritorious. Training in Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, A-CRA, CRA, Craft, RePulse, or other evidence-based methods.
• Training in the treatment of gambling addiction and problem gambling.
• Experience of working within or collaborating with social services.
• Training and experience in working with groups.
• Training and experience in family work and support for relatives.
• Experience and interest in working with outward-facing preventive work and giving presentations.
