Job Description
As an Administrative Case Worker focused on the Youth Unit, you will provide qualified administrative support to section managers in their daily work. In close collaboration with the unit manager and section managers, you will contribute to the planning and follow-up of the unit's work and assist in driving overarching processes forward. You serve the unit's management group, from whom you also receive your assignments. You work closely with the section managers and are expected to assist with both administrative and practical tasks. The content of the role may change over time based on operational needs.
Given the national focus on young people at risk of crime/young offenders, the Youth Unit also needs to focus on various activities to prevent children and young people from committing crimes in environments linked to organized crime. As a management support, you contribute to increasing the possibility of meeting the intentions of the new Social Services Act and driving development work in this area.
The role includes among other things:
- Being part of the recruitment process, handling practical aspects of new hires, and being responsible for onboarding.
- Planning and coordinating various types of meetings, e.g., staff days, unit days, workshops, and collaboration meetings.
- Handling various types of bookings.
- Coordinating and assisting in joint work and processes within the unit related to the target group.
- Compiling and analyzing statistics.
- Handling the release of public documents.
- Monitoring the external environment within the social services sector.
- Being part of the work to review and follow up care interventions at an aggregated level.
- Planning educational initiatives.
- Assisting in collaboration development.
- Assisting with administrative tasks.
- Adapting the assignment based on current issues and needs.
You work within several administrative systems such as Life Care, Medvind, and Antura.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A university degree with a social science focus relevant to the position (180 ECTS credits).
- Experience working with operational development.
- Experience working with quality follow-up in public operations.
- Good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in municipal operations.
- Experience in public authority operations.
- Experience in a similar position.

About the Workplace
The position is located at the Youth Unit, the Child and Family Authority, and will belong to the management group consisting of one unit manager and five section managers. The unit has five additional senior social secretaries and 64 social secretaries.
In our unit, we work with a focus on investigations and follow-up of interventions based on young people and their families with social problems in the form of crime, substance abuse, mental illness, school absenteeism, or norm-breaking behavior. Our mission is to develop and find long-term solutions for working with children, young people, and their families based on their needs and participation.
Very exciting developments are happening nationally regarding the unit's target group, inviting development work. The unit has recently started implementing the assessment tool Ester and the RBM principles, and work with Signs of Safety is ongoing. Contact with researchers from Malmö University has also recently been initiated.
The business area Individual and Family is divided into two departments with different assignments and focus areas: Intervention and Investigation. Within the Investigation department, approximately 500 employees currently work with public authority operations within our Child and Family units, and our employees have high competence and great commitment to social work.
