About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with daily occurrences and basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

Your duties include accompanying the boy at his school alongside another assistant. The boy needs help with everything from communication, playing, and socializing during breaks to exercise and stretching. The client also requires assistance with meals via PEG, transfers to and from the wheelchair, personal hygiene, inhalations, suctioning, etc. The client is non-verbal; communication takes place through pictures, and you will learn to interpret the boy's sounds and body language. The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others, is engaged, reliable, and responsible. You take initiative and contribute to a smooth workflow.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience working with children with functional variations in complex assignments.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• A careful, proactive, and positive personality.
• Good physical condition and not afraid of challenges.
• Non-smoker.
• Not allergic to cats.

Merits for the position:

• Experience working with lifting belts and various aids, e.g., standing frames.
• Experience with tube feeding, inhalers, and suction devices.
• Knowledge of epilepsy.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, extent, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an extent of approximately 75%. Shifts are scheduled on weekdays, 9:00–15:00. The work also includes school holidays.

Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other benefits according to the collective agreement.

Start date: 2026-07-20 or by agreement.
