Job Description
We are looking for support educators (stödpedagoger) for our operations. We are in an exciting phase of development where all work groups within the unit have been trained in the "active support" approach. As a support educator, you play a key role in developing and driving the pedagogical work through close and practical leadership in everyday life.
Together with care educators and other colleagues, you work to implement, follow up on, and develop approaches that strengthen the users' independence and participation.
The duties include building trusting relationships and supporting and guiding users in daily situations. Support measures may include activities, cleaning, laundry, cooking, personal support, and physical care. The work is based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with the LSS legislation and the organization's value base.
You work systematically with social documentation and collaborate with colleagues and other actors based on the user's implementation plan and action plan.
We are looking for someone who is solution-focused, pedagogical, and confident in your professional role. You have the ability to develop approaches that strengthen the user's independence and participation.
The role also includes medication management and other tasks performed under the delegation of licensed health care personnel.
The position involves day, evening, and weekend work. In one of the facilities, sleeping on-call duty according to Appendix J is included in a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education comprising at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits with a focus on disability issues and/or behavioral science. Additional education within the disability field is meritorious.
You have experience working with users who may have challenging and aggressive behaviors. We would appreciate it if you had knowledge of motivational interviewing (MI) and low-arousal approach, as well as experience working with this target group and issues related to mental health.
It is meritorious if you have at least one year of work experience and previous experience in a team-leading role where you mentored and supported colleagues in daily work. Experience working with people with various diagnoses is also an advantage.
To thrive in the role, you need to be structured, solution-focused, and flexible. You have the ability to adapt to changed situations and can work independently when the work requires it. At the same time, you find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships with users, colleagues, and other actors.
We are looking for someone who is pedagogical, quality-conscious, and has good knowledge of LSS legislation. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good computer skills. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
A B-class driver's license is required.
