Vårdcentralen Getingen is a small and family-oriented healthcare unit located within the hospital area with approximately 20 employees. We are one of Lund's youngest healthcare centers and started operations in May 2014 without registered patients. Since then, the number of registered patients has increased to approximately 6,000. The operations are characterized by high medical quality, job satisfaction, and a strong team spirit. Our premises are located at the Skåne University Hospital area, which provides access to numerous unique service functions such as pneumatic tube post, logistics, and laundry management. These premises are also shared with the Evening and Weekend Clinic when the healthcare center is closed, which has contributed to good and close cooperation with the staff in this unit.

At Vårdcentralen Getingen, you will also find the newly opened Care Choice Psychotherapy Clinic Getingen Lund, where patients come on referral for CBT.

Here we offer good and safe care for our registered patients with the help of specialists in general medicine, ST-doctors, district nurses, general nurses, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants. The unit also runs a nurse-led diabetes clinic, an asthma-COPD clinic, and an elderly care clinic. We also collaborate with other primary care units regarding dietitians and occupational therapists to be able to offer patients individualized care at the right level of care.

DUTIES

We now welcome a diabetes nurse who is engaged, innovative, and wants to be part of developing our operations. You are offered an exciting, complex, and varied job. For us, you as an employee are very important, and we want the position to suit both your and the unit's needs.

As a diabetes nurse, you are part of a team with our doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries in the work concerning our diabetes patients. Here you meet different types of diabetes patients and work with, among others, adult patients with diabetes, newly diagnosed diabetics, and patients with prediabetes. You also perform annual checks and registrations in the National Diabetes Register (NDR) and offer diabetes school via the Support and Treatment Platform.

We are the first in publicly driven primary care to work with a structured approach for our chronic patients where we use medical quality parameters to prioritize our patients, unlike traditional waiting lists.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the right to work in Swedish healthcare. In addition, you have further education as a diabetes nurse. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have work experience from primary care and/or experience working in the medical record system PMO. Since many of our patients have different cultural backgrounds, we value if you are multilingual.
