In the role of Project Engineer in Communications for the Maria–Helsingborg program, you will work on an ongoing location investigation, with the possibility of contributing to other projects as well.

The stretch between Maria Station and Helsingborg C is a central part of passenger traffic in western Sweden and a known bottleneck. It is now to be expanded to double track as the final part of the West Coast Line.

In this role, you contribute to driving the project's communication forward so that goals related to time, cost, and content are achieved. The communication should strengthen trust in Trafikverket, increase understanding of the assignment, and create internal pride. The work takes place close to the operations with a focus on efficiency, prioritization, and identifying needs, risks, and opportunities.

You are part of the Maria–Helsingborg program and work together with the program and project management in a complex project regarding a new railway through central Helsingborg, under the leadership of a senior communication specialist.

Examples of tasks

• Selection and material for internal and external channels
• Printed and digital dispatches
• Information and presentation material
• Events such as consultations
• Photography and film
• Press activities
• Study visits, information meetings, consultations, and other activities directed at the public or stakeholders. Monitor and respond to incoming comments from the public.
• Handle communicative challenges and opportunities

Requirements for the position

• University education, for example in media and communication science or equivalent, and at least three (3) years of work experience from similar work. Alternatively, upper secondary school or equivalent education and five (5) years of work experience as a communicator.
• Knowledge of digital communication and social media.
• Knowledge of brand building.
• Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of editing tools (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and web publishing tools (e.g., Episerver, Sitevision, etc.).
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of clear language.
• Category B driver's license.

We are looking for a person with strong self-drive who finds it easy to cooperate and has no problems performing administrative tasks. You are structured and independent and have good ability to plan, produce, and deliver. You are good at building relationships, creating trust, and function well in a group.

Meritorious requirements for the position

• Experience in planning, production, implementation, and follow-up of communication.
• Experience in writing and adapting content for different target groups in various channels, such as social media, dispatches, and websites.
• Professional experience in web publishing and knowledge of the web publishing tool Optimizely.
• Experience working in another government agency or public sector.
