The Social Services Administration in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services regarding individual and family care, as well as the disability area. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and the offering changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work is often carried out in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and business. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco licenses and conducts supervision.

Here you have the opportunity to work in a cross-professional activity with a focus on collaboration and the best interests of the child. We are looking for you who want to join our counselor team and work as a Social Secretary/Counselor. The team provides accompanying support during child interviews and support conversations to relatives whose children have been victims of crime.
Barnahus (Children's House) is a collaboration model between social services, police, prosecutors, child and adolescent psychiatry (CAPS), and pediatric medicine. The overall purpose of the activity is for children exposed to crime in the form of violence or abuse to receive as professional and cohesive support and treatment as possible, both in the psychosocial and legal processes. Barnahus Stockholm is located on Södermalm with a view of Söder Mälarstrand. The social services at Barnahus belong to the support and protection area within the Social Services Administration, Stockholm City. The area consists of activities that offer support and protection to children and adults living in vulnerable situations. Currently, 5 coordinators, 3 counselors, 4 crisis supporters, 1 administrator, 1 team leader, and 1 unit manager work here.
We Offer
We offer you competence development through education and external supervision. Supervision takes place once every three weeks and is ongoing term by term. We offer pension, occupational health care, and fitness benefits. We also have access to a gym and sauna in our premises. The work takes place Monday to Friday according to a flexible agreement.
Your Role
As a Social Secretary at Barnahus, you work with coordinating authority measures for children exposed to crime in close relationships. The position primarily involves curative support for accompanying safety persons with a focus on what is best for the child, as well as support conversations with parents whose children are suspected of being exposed to crime by another person. The work also involves being a support in questions regarding violence/abuse to our collaborating partners, being able to conduct training sessions, and presenting and representing Barnahus locally and regionally. You may also be responsible for coordinating between different authorities.
Your work is based on existing legislation and knowledge support, and you work from an evidence-based practice. In your work, you will collaborate with both colleagues in the city and external partners. Working at Barnahus involves close collaboration with the other authorities present in the house, such as the police, prosecutors, CAPS, and pediatric medicine. Your Competence and Experience
- Qualifications
For this position, you are required to have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Worker)
- At least 3 years of experience in authority work with children and young people
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Security clearance class 3 (which we ask the police to investigate if you are selected for the position)
Meritorious:
- Experience in conversations with people in crisis and knowledge of crisis support.
- Experience working with violence and abuse with a focus on children and young people, and knowledge of the subject area.
- Experience in curative support conversations.
