We are looking for you who want to work as a support assistant in our permanent staffing pool within Disability Support

Within the Social Services Department's area of operation, Disability Support, we work every day to meet people's needs based on their mental, physical, and intellectual functional variations. The work is important, meaningful, and varied.

About the staffing pool

The purpose of the staffing pool is to cover temporary absences with permanently employed staff within:

• Group homes – where the work is based at the person's home.
• Personal assistance – where the work mainly takes place in the person's residence.
• Daytime activities – where we support the individual at their workplace to create meaningful engagement.

Regardless of the activity, the work is about supporting and motivating people so that they have a meaningful everyday life and opportunities for participation and independence.

We work to create stimulating and developmental days for people with different functional variations. Examples of focus areas can be sensory stimulation, communication, cognitive training, physical training, and care. We always work from a salutogenic approach and with KASAM as a foundation, so that everyday life is experienced as comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful.

Job duties

As a support assistant in the staffing pool, you will have a varied assignment where you work in different units depending on the need. Your duties may include, among other things:

• Providing support based on the individual's needs, resources, and wishes.
• Contributing to structure, security, and meaning in everyday life.
• Strengthening the individual's participation, influence, and independence.
• Supporting both individual and group activities within daytime activities.
• Providing support in care.
• Documenting according to current routines and working based on implementation plans.
• Collaborating with colleagues and other professional groups.

Your qualifications and background

We are looking for you who are trained as a support assistant and have experience working with people with functional variations. You have:

• A positive view of humanity and a good value base.
• The ability to adapt to different people, environments, and situations.
• Good communication skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
• Experience with documentation, preferably in LifeCare.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). And experience in meeting people with challenging behaviors and/or extensive somatic needs.
