We have an open working climate where employees are highly involved in the development. Join us and contribute to Stockholm growing with culture!
The Music School operates throughout the City of Stockholm; see address and location in the job posting.
Welcome to us
The Department of Culture has approximately 1,000 employees and includes the Music School, Stockholm City Library, Liljevalchs Art Gallery, Stockholm Art, and the City Museum. The Events Department arranges large public events such as the Stockholm Culture Festival and the youth festival We Are Sthlm. The Department's activities receive approximately 11 million visits annually.
The Department of Culture works to ensure that the cultural offerings in Stockholm consist of a diversity of different expressions, offerings, and opportunities, containing both breadth and excellence. The Department is responsible for the majority of municipally driven cultural activities and supports the independent cultural sector.
A challenge for the Department of Culture is to reach more people, and groups that we do not reach today. Everyone should feel welcome in our activities, which places high demands on the competence and engagement of our staff. We work actively with sustainability and strive for gender equality and diversity. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences.
In our world, culture is important. We need spaces for culture. Places that give room for play, creativity, and dreams. Rooms where one can discover, develop, and express oneself. Rooms for imagination!
