The Welfare Administration's task is to help people who, due to age, disability, financial, or family problems, need various forms of support and assistance. The Welfare Administration consists of three departments: Care and Nursing, Support, and IFO (Individual and Family Care). The Care and Nursing department consists of units within elderly care homes, home care services, and municipal primary care. The Support department includes LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The IFO department consists of social services, labor market unit, social psychiatry, and assistance unit.

Job Description

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support to people with various disabilities and healthcare needs. The work is varied and ranges from personal care to practical chores in the home. You work to preserve, strengthen, and develop the user's own abilities and create a safe and meaningful everyday life where the user's needs and wishes are at the center.

In close collaboration with the home healthcare rehab and medical team, we work with extensive delegation, which means you will perform advanced healthcare tasks. The work also includes transfers and handling of various assistive devices, which constitute a significant part of the assignment. Although the work mainly takes place in the user's home, it may also involve activities outside the residence, such as hospital visits, shopping, or walks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

  • are trained as a nurse assistant (undersköterska).
  • have good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, to be able to perform safe care with high quality and meet our user's needs based on both documentation requirements and emerging situations.
  • have experience in similar work (meritorious).

To be considered for employment, you must at the interview:

  • show valid ID
  • if necessary, present a copy of your certificate/diploma
  • have the right to work in Sweden and be able to present a valid work permit
  • if necessary, present a valid driver's license
  • if necessary, present valid professional authorization

In certain appointments:

  • a security check is conducted. If you become eligible for such a position, a passed security check is required.
  • authorization verification is done via the National Board of Health and Welfare or the Swedish National Agency for Education.
  • a check against IVO's register is performed.
  • you need to be a Swedish citizen, but are welcome to have a foreign background.
