About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the customer with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, and therefore tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

Your tasks involve working with a boy at his school, alongside a colleague. The boy needs help with everything from communication, play, and fun during breaks to exercise and stretching. The customer also needs help with meals via PEG, transfers to and from the wheelchair, personal hygiene, inhalations, suctioning of mucus, etc. The customer does not speak; communication takes place through pictures, and you will learn to interpret the boy's sounds and body language. The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others, is engaged, reliable, and responsible. You take initiative and contribute to a smooth workflow.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience working with children with functional variations in complex assignments.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• A meticulous, proactive, and positive personality.
• Good physical condition and not afraid of challenges.
• Non-smoker.
• Not allergic to cats.

Merits for the position:

• Experience working with lifting slings and various aids such as standing frames.
• Experience with tube feeding, inhalers, and suction devices.
• Knowledge of epilepsy.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, employment degree, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 75%. Shifts are scheduled on weekdays, 9 AM - 3 PM. The work also includes school holidays.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date: 2026-07-20 or according to agreement.
