Description of Duties

The job involves teaching students in courses included in the program and planning and following up on teaching together with colleagues. You will have contact with workplaces and the industry through work-based learning. It includes being a mentor and supporting students in their development in collaboration with guardians, as well as developing the education and systematic quality work together with your colleagues. As a vocational teacher, you have holiday service, which means you are often on leave during parts of the school holidays.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a plumbing installer and hold a plumbing certificate, and who have experience working as a plumbing installer. It is an advantage if you are a certified vocational teacher. In change, you adapt easily to changed circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and attitude, and you see opportunities in changes. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve any conflicts constructively.

As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work. You easily establish contact with students and colleagues, as well as maintain relationships. With good pedagogical insight, you understand that students have different prerequisites for absorbing knowledge. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. As a leader, you are good at motivating and engaging others. You lead in a clear and structured way and create participation in the groups you lead.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
