Björkhagaskolan is a two-track school for grades F-6 with approximately 320 students in central Söderköping. We are close to swimming, forests, and natural environments, as well as libraries and sports arenas. With us, you will meet experienced and committed colleagues. We adapt teaching based on students' differences and needs. We have fully equipped facilities for wood and metal crafts.

Job Description

We are looking for a craft teacher specializing in wood and metal to teach grades 2–6 at Björkhagaskolan and grades 4–6 at Bergaskolan. You will be part of a work team with other educators at the lower secondary level and also participate in the municipality's network for craft teachers. With the students' best interests in focus, you collaborate with other staff and participate in the school's work to develop operations in accordance with national and local guidelines. You are an important part of the children's entire day at school.

You collaborate with the textile crafts teacher. You are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of your teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who care about creating meaningful learning for the students and have an adequate teacher education with certification. You are well acquainted with the curriculum.

You work structurally with clear boundaries and frameworks to support the students. You can see both the individual student's and the group's needs. You build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and actively participate in the work team's and school's joint tasks. You contribute with ideas, solutions, and experience.
