About Us

Humaniora vård och omsorg is the municipal provider in Solna Municipality. We are responsible, among other things, for group homes according to the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The target group for our operations is adults within LSS person group 1. We are now looking for three part-time support assistants for group homes in Solna Municipality.

What Does the Job Entail?

As a support assistant, your primary task is to work with the residents individually, ensuring that each individual feels involved and independent in their life. You achieve this by working methodically based on low-affective handling and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Each individual has an implementation plan that describes how the individual needs to receive support from you. As a support assistant, your duties include, among other things, cleaning and laundry, delegated HSL tasks such as medication management, cooking, personal care, support during meals, accompaniment during travel, and leisure activities such as swimming, exercise, and music. Administrative tasks such as writing notes in the individual's journal and booking transport services are also part of the job.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for you who have

• a completed education from the Child and Youth Care program or a completed education as a nursing assistant
• experience working in LSS group homes
• good communication skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish
• good computer skills and learn new programs quickly.

It is an advantage if you have

• experience with methodological work such as low-affective handling, alternative and augmentative communication, and other clarifying pedagogy
• other education within healthcare or social work.

As a person, you are stable, self-reliant, and enjoy building relationships. You carry out your work with great care and are perceived as a secure person. In the role of support assistant, it is important to be empathetic, flexible, and have good communication skills. You need to be able to take initiative, be solution-oriented, work well in a team, and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

More Information About the Application

The position is a fixed-term employment with start date according to agreement. The work is scheduled during days, evenings, and on-call duties every day of the week, which means weekend work is included in the position.
