Specialist Social Worker for Family Department

The Family Department is part of the Social Services Administration, and our most important task is to ensure that our residents receive the help and support they need. We are located in Mörby Centrum, 14 minutes by subway from T-Centralen. Our office has fresh facilities with good technology. There are also many small rooms here for us to talk things over with each other or to receive visitors. There is also the possibility of working remotely to the extent that it suits the work.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist social worker, you strengthen the work in difficult and complex cases. You assist in acute situations, handle LVU (Care of Young Persons Special Provisions) cases, and provide support and guidance through these processes. You act as a method support and mentor for new employees. Together with group managers, you drive method development, develop routines, and contribute to the implementation of new ways of working.

Furthermore, you actively contribute to the unit's method development in practice, for example by holding internal training, participating in development work, and supporting colleagues in the use of new methods and tools. You are a role model in following statutory requirements within social services as well as internal routines. You should be able to cover for the group manager if needed. The tasks may change based on the unit's needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A degree in Social Work and at least five years of experience in authority work with children and young people.
  • Experience with, and very familiar with, the laws governing the operations, especially SoL (Social Services Act), LVU, and the Act on the Placement of Children in Secure Accommodation.
  • Very good documentation skills.
  • Very good knowledge of BBIC (Baby-Infant-Behavioral-Intervention-Consultation).
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Previous experience in method support work.
  • Knowledge of iRiSk, ADAD, Signs of Safety.
  • Experience in supervising and introducing new social secretaries.
  • Experience with, and feel comfortable speaking in front of larger groups.
  • Category B driver's license.

You provide good service, show loyalty both internally and externally, and keep yourself updated on the world around you. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create safe and sustainable relationships. You also show a basic security in your professional practice, both in practicing methods, meeting clients, and in sharing experiences and knowledge with colleagues. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Salary: Monthly salary.
