Do you want to help train the next generation of production engineers in digitalization, AI, and industrial development?

We are currently seeking an experienced educator or consultant to deliver the course Digitalization of Industry as part of a university college program in Södertälje during the autumn of 2026.

The course is aimed at aspiring production engineers and production developers, with the goal of providing students with knowledge on how digitalization, artificial intelligence, and data-driven approaches impact and advance modern industry.

About the Assignment

As the educator, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and examination of the course. Teaching should combine theoretical perspectives with practical examples from the industry, giving students an understanding of how digital technology can be used to develop production, efficiency, and sustainability.

The course covers, among other things:

• The impact of digitalization on Swedish industry
• Industry 4.0 and smart factories
• AI and machine learning in production
• Data analysis and information extraction
• Simulation and modeling
• System integration within the manufacturing industry
• Wireless communication and connected production environments
• IoT and smart technology
• Predictive maintenance
• Digitalization analysis and digital maturity

Teaching is conducted in Swedish, but some parts may include English-language materials.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a relevant academic degree or equivalent competence in industrial digitalization, production technology, automation, AI, or a related field.
• Has current and documented experience working with digitalization within the industry.
• Has experience in teaching, education, or competence development for adult participants.
• Can translate complex technical areas into practical and pedagogical knowledge.
• Has strong communication and pedagogical skills.

Experience with university colleges, universities, or corporate training is considered an asset.
