Kunskapsskolan in Sweden operates primary and upper secondary schools where personalized education is at the center. Today, approximately 14,000 students attend our 36 schools across the country. Kunskapsskolan Uppsala is looking for a craft teacher.

At Kunskapsskolan Uppsala, we create close relationships between teachers and students through our unique working method. In an environment where the student can be themselves and is challenged at their own level, we create a school where both students and staff thrive. We are a well-functioning primary school for grades 4-9 with approximately 620 students, centrally located in Uppsala with good commuting options.

About the role

As a craft teacher with us, you will become a key figure in the students' knowledge development. You work not only as a subject teacher but often also as a mentor, which means you coach a number of students in their personal goals and study strategies.

Your main responsibilities:

• Teaching: Plan and conduct lessons and workshops in craft based on Kunskapsskolan's pedagogical model.

• Student welfare: Collaborate closely with the work team and student health team to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.

• Assessment and follow-up: Document and communicate student results to students and guardians.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a confident leader in the classroom and a "top-tier relationship builder." You have the ability to see each student's specific needs and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You enjoy working in teams and are attracted to a role where you have significant responsibility for shaping the student's entire school journey.

Qualifications:

• Teaching certification with eligibility in craft for the later years of primary school.

• Good familiarity with using digital tools.

• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.

• Thorough knowledge of the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and After-school Programme (Lgr-22).

• Experience with Kunskapsskolan's working method or similar individualized pedagogy is an advantage.
