About the Business

The group home focuses on LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) target group 1. It is located in Stockholm City and is operated by Unika LSS Omsorg on behalf of Norra Innerstaden Stockholm City. The residence has 4 places with 24/7 staff.

We are now looking for an employee who can take on the role of coordinator and support pedagogue at our unit.

About the role of Support Pedagogue and Coordinator

In this role, you primarily work with providing support and services based on the residents' wishes and with giving the individual a meaningful everyday life, from a pedagogical approach. Furthermore, you should be able to address each person's individual needs and conduct pedagogical work based on this. Since needs vary among users, no day is the same, which contributes to a challenging and exciting job.

You will work close to the users together with your colleagues and have a great responsibility to, in consultation with the operations manager, drive and develop the pedagogical work in the operation. Some delegated health and care tasks are included in the work.

The position also includes some supervisory responsibility. You also work with administrative tasks such as scheduling, staffing, quality improvements, risk assessments, and documentation.

You are part of a network of support pedagogues or coordinators with regular meetings a couple of times per term.

You have close cooperation with the operations manager and close contact with the employee group. Your role becomes central in supporting the daily operation of the business. You provide support and service both in the home and in leisure activities, as well as developing pedagogical support based on the individual's needs.

The employment level is approx. 100% and the working hours will be scheduled on a rolling roster, distributed across mornings, days, evenings, and weekends. The role of coordinator is combined with the role of support pedagogue, which means you work with support measures together with our main individuals in their daily lives.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good cooperation skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from the Support Pedagogue Education 200 YH credits or 60 HP within pedagogy.
  • Experience and knowledge of the target group LSS adults target group 1.
  • Basic knowledge of household work such as nutrition and hygiene.
  • Computer literacy and good knowledge of the Swedish language, in speech and writing.

Meritorious if you additionally have:

  • Experience in supervision.
  • Knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
  • Experience working with people with autism and challenging behavior.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral problems.
  • Experience with clarifying communication and low-affective handling.

Employment Type: Permanent with a 6-month probation period
Employment Level: approx. 100%
Working Hours: Rolling roster
Start Date: According to agreement.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements to Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
