One of our social secretaries will be on leave to test a new role within the administration, and we are therefore looking for a new colleague. Could this be you?

Social support and livelihood are organized into two units that complement each other. The Unit for Investigation and Processing is responsible for investigating the right to financial assistance, while the Unit for Sustainable Livelihood works with support measures that strengthen the individual's path toward self-sufficiency. Close cooperation between the units is central to the work.

At the Unit for Sustainable Livelihood, 18 social secretaries work to map, support, and motivate individuals applying for financial assistance on their path toward self-sufficiency and an independent life. The daily work is led by two team leaders, and the unit also includes an administrator who relieves the manager, team leaders, and social secretaries of certain administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

For the entire business area, the main tasks involve motivating individuals receiving financial assistance to seek work, study, or other compensation, so that the need for assistance is as short-term as possible. This implies a high degree of individual support and motivational work, where each case is unique but the goal is always self-sufficiency.

As a social secretary with us, you often work in collaboration with other actors surrounding the individual to support them toward an independent life. This may involve joint mapping together with our labor market units, close follow-up with the city's education providers, and ongoing follow-up meetings with various healthcare institutions.

In parallel with the social work, we are responsible, in some cases together with the Unit for Investigation and Processing, for assessing the right to financial assistance by receiving the client's application, evaluating it, and making decisions based on current legislation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another university-level education that the employer deems equivalent.

As a person, you are development-oriented and actively contribute to both your personal development and the group's/organization's development. You have the courage to think new ways based on each individual's need for support. You should have a good ability to motivate others, and it is a prerequisite that you thrive in collaboration and joint solutions to succeed in the work.
