We are now expanding the number of students at Uppsala Adapted Upper Secondary School (Uppsala AG). Are you passionate about art, digital creation, moving image, graphic design, or other creative forms of expression within aesthetic activities? Do you want to share your creativity with students who need an adapted and secure learning environment to thrive? We are now looking for an engaged teacher for the aesthetic program at our adapted upper secondary school.

Uppsala AG consists of two school units: Fyris and Jälla. By autumn, the school will have approximately 170 students and 100 employees. The current need is at Fyris AG, national program, which means that the teaching follows specific subject plans but is fully adapted to the students' cognitive prerequisites. Here, you will use aesthetic forms of expression to develop the students' abilities.

Description of duties

As a teacher here, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching based on each student's unique cognitive and communicative prerequisites. Since our students have different needs, flexibility and the ability to differentiate teaching are crucial. You break down creative processes into clear step-by-step instructions. You use picture support, sign support, concrete materials, and digital tools to create predictability.

Through creativity and student participation, you create meaningful and enjoyable activities. You lead the aesthetic processes and collaborate closely with student assistants present in the group to provide students with the practical and cognitive support they need. Students have several weeks of work placement (APL) during their studies, and here you are an important part of planning and implementing the APL.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching license and experience teaching aesthetic subjects. It is meritorious to have a special education license with a focus on IF (Individualized Education) as well as experience working with students in the adapted school form.

As a person, you are outgoing and socially active in your work. You find it easy to connect with students and maintain relationships. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a sensitive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
