About the role
You will work on behalf of the Regional Executive Board with cases concerning the EU Patient Mobility Directive. The directive aims to increase opportunities for EU/EEA citizens to seek healthcare in other member countries. While the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) makes the decisions regarding such care, the patient's home region bears the cost responsibility. Therefore, cases are sent to the Region of Västra Götaland for assessment.
About the work
The role involves coordinating and assessing EU/EEA cases, as well as responding to inquiries from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. You will also perform price calculations and handle incoming invoices as needed. To support your assessments, you will collaborate with various partners both within and outside the Region of Västra Götaland, including colleagues, medical experts, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
Cases assigned to you for assessment may be written in English. You will work directly in the Public 360 system, which manages our registered documents, and Ivard, a system handling invoices and documentation for purchased care.
To provide excellent service in the role of Administrative Coordinator, you need:
- Strong social skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, both with colleagues within the Region of Västra Götaland and with external partners.
- The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your own work.
- The ability to identify opportunities and drive both routine operations and development initiatives.
About you
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education and at least some years of work experience in an administrative role, or education combined with experience deemed equivalent. Since you will work in several different computer systems, you need good IT skills and be a proficient user of Office programs. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good skills in reading and understanding English. You should also have experience within healthcare, preferably as a nurse.
Experience with the case management system Public 360 is meritorious. Knowledge of Spanish is not a requirement but is meritorious for the assignment. Understanding the division of healthcare into specialties and the ability to read and interpret medical documentation is highly meritorious.
The recruitment process
In this recruitment process, we do not require a cover letter. Instead, we ask you to answer a number of questions when you register your application. Please answer in detail, as our initial selection is based on your responses. We appreciate that you formulate your answers in a way that reflects your personal style of writing and communication. After the application deadline, we will contact candidates who are suitable for a first interview.
