Sveriges Ridgymnasium AB is a stable organization that has been in operation for over 20 years. Today, our schools are located in four different locations across the country. In Svedala, approximately 30 employees work, and approximately 160 students are distributed across the school's three year groups. The students study the Natural Resource Program, with a specialization in Horse Husbandry.

What you will be working on with us

We are expanding the school's student housing ahead of the autumn term and need one more person to work with the students in our residences. As a Residence Warden, you work at the school's student housing where approximately 80 students live. The purpose of the student housing is to facilitate and enable studies at the school for students who live far from the school or do not have the opportunity to commute. The student housing is for studying students, and the housing is primarily a place for study, rest, and recovery. A safe and calm environment should be offered to the residents at all times.

You are a secure adult in our students' daily lives and contribute with structure and support for our students. You are a social and warm person but with a professional approach. Since this is a job with young people and young adults, our students are usually between 16-19 years old, we would prefer that you have reached a slightly more mature age yourself.

We are looking for someone who is educated as, for example, a social pedagogue, leisure-time pedagogue, sports teacher, or has other suitable education and experience that fits the assignment.

Your main tasks will be:

• Follow and act in accordance with the school's value base and keywords: Quality, Participation, and Joy.
• Be present and available to students at the student housing and build good and trusting relationships with students.
• Be a positive adult support in everyday life, plan and carry out activities that promote community and well-being, and encourage good living habits (e.g., sleep, study quiet, structure).
• Ensure that house rules are followed.
• Support, guide, and if necessary, also kindly but firmly correct students, such as following up on cleaning, ensuring that common areas are kept in good condition, and ensuring a calm and safe environment.
• Maintain ongoing contact with school management, housing manager, and student health services, and collaborate with other staff and the students' guardians.
• Follow the School Act, working environment regulations, and the school's guidelines.
• Certain cleaning tasks will be included in the position.
• Contribute to a safe environment free from harassment and discrimination and act according to the school's routines for bullying and incident reporting.

Working hours are predominantly scheduled in the evenings (until 11:00 PM), but day and weekend work may also occur.

Horse experience is not a requirement but can be meritorious as it may imply flexibility within the assignment.

We are looking for someone who can work 75-100 % starting in August.
