LetsGig AB is looking for an experienced Railway Project Manager for a long-term consulting assignment starting no later than September 1, 2026. The assignment may potentially start as early as August 12, 2026.
The role is full-time with 100% utilization. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for a phased onboarding, where lower utilization may be accepted during the initial phase.
The workplace is located in Jönköping or Linköping. Some travel and presence in the project environment may occur depending on the assignment's needs. Computer and workspace are provided at the location.
About the role
You will work as a project manager for railway-related measures, focusing on the design documentation ("bygghandling") and production phases. The role involves leading, planning, coordinating, and following up on one or more projects in close collaboration with the project organization, specialists, consultants, and contractors.
Examples of projects can include track replacements, catenary system measures, switch replacements, electrification, level crossing measures, signaling work, and technical system measures.
Responsibilities
The role includes among other things:
- Establish and follow up on schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Plan and conduct project meetings.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow up on technical documents, deliveries, and deviations.
- Report project status regarding time, cost, and content.
- Develop and quality-assure decision-making materials.
- Participate in procurement, supplier dialogues, and contract follow-up.
- Work according to established project models and structured document control.
- Drive projects forward with a focus on time, economy, risk, coordination, and delivery.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must meet all the following requirements:
- You have excellent verbal and written Swedish skills.
- You hold a valid B-driver's license.
- You have at least three years of documented experience as a project manager for railway projects within general railway operations.
- Your project management experience includes independent responsibility for planning, steering, follow-up, and delivery of projects or clearly defined project parts.
- Your experience concerns projects within the design and/or construction phases.
- Your relevant experience is not older than 20 years.
- You have experience from project groups where coordination was crucial.
- You have knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the railway sector.
- You have completed BAS-ÄSKYDD training and can provide a certificate.
- You have completed BAS-P and BAS-U training, and the training is not older than five years from the application date. Certificates must be provided.
- You can present at least two relevant reference assignments in a leadership role.
Reference Assignment Requirements
You need to be able to show at least two reference assignments where you held a leadership role, such as project manager, site manager, or similar.
Each reference assignment must meet the following criteria:
- The assignment must have involved the creation of design documentation or work in the production phase.
- The assignment must have covered at least two of the following technical areas: switch/track replacement, electrification/catery, interlocking/signaling.
- You must have held a leadership role in the assignment for at least 12 consecutive months or 18 months in total.
- You must have had an actual work effort of at least 850 working hours per reference assignment.
- You must have had documented responsibility for planning, steering, follow-up, and delivery.
- Each reference assignment must have had a total budget of at least 100 million SEK.
- The experience must not be older than 20 years.
A pure specialist role, administrative support role, or participation without own responsibility for planning and follow-up is not sufficient.
Scope and Location
- Scope: Full-time, 100 percent.
- Duration: 24 months with the possibility of extension 12 + 12 months.
- Start: No later than September 1, 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start from August 12, 2026.
- Location: Jönköping or Linköping.
