Welcome to us
The Sibling Unit belongs to the Child and Youth Area, which consists of approximately 100 employees in total. The Sibling Unit comprises 15 social secretaries, 3 contact secretaries, 2 group leaders, and a unit manager who together work for the district's children and their families in both authority enforcement and follow-up of decided measures. You will belong to one of the groups and have an accessible group leader who leads and distributes the daily work. We have started the work of implementing Signs of Safety, and in the autumn, the unit will begin supervision according to Signs of Safety.

We offer a fun and developing assignment where your commitment to children and young people, social work, and the opportunity to release resources for people in vulnerable life situations are valued. You will have the opportunity to develop in your role together with colleagues through the work that is ongoing in connection with the transition to the new law and the methods and assessment instruments we work with. Together we shape a social services department that starts from what people need. There is an introduction program for new employees at the workplace and two method developers who provide support in the professional role.

Your role
As a social secretary at the Sibling Unit, you work with investigation work and follow-up of decided measures in open care. You build trusting relationships, have contact with children, parents, and networks. You collaborate with colleagues within your own unit as well as with other internal colleagues and external parties. The work is carried out according to SoL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Care of Young Persons Act).
Your competence and experience
You are structured and ensure that your cases are handled in a timely manner and with quality. You are goal- and result-oriented with a clear focus on creating the best possible conditions for children and families. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and have the ability to build trust and good collaborations, both with clients and their networks. In addition, we value that you are collaboration-oriented and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and other partners to achieve common goals. We also appreciate that you are flexible and have the ability to adapt when conditions change.
For this position, you must have:
- A degree in Social Work (Social Work Degree)
We consider it meritorious if you have experience of:
- Work with children and youth
- Signs of Safety
- Documentation system Paraplyet
