Together with municipalities, civil society and other actors, we promote, support and develop the region's cultural life. We also provide staff support to the region's cultural political bodies: the Culture Committee and the Board for Cultural Development.

Description
As a Committee Coordinator, you have a central role in coordinating and ensuring the quality of the committee process for the Culture Committee. You work closely with both staff and political leadership and contribute to creating well-functioning working methods with high quality throughout the entire decision-making process.
With us, you contribute to ensuring that our political decision-makers receive clear, legally secure and well-prepared decision materials, and that case handling functions efficiently and professionally.
You will belong to the Culture Administration's unit responsible for case preparation and operational support related to the Culture Committee. The unit is also responsible for committee coordination, information management, and coordinates the administration's work with operational planning, follow-up and analysis.
The unit is organized into three teams to create good conditions for collaboration, planning and communication. You will belong to the team responsible for committee coordination and information management, where you, together with engaged colleagues, contribute to developing and improving the administration's working methods and processes.
The unit is part of the Administration's Common Functions, which provide support and service to the entire administration and simultaneously are responsible for staff support to both the Culture Committee and the Board for Cultural Development.
Responsibilities
As a Committee Coordinator, you will among other things:
- coordinate and ensure the quality of the committee process – from preparation to decision, minutes and dispatch
- review, develop and strengthen the administration's work with service statements and decision materials
- provide support and guidance to managers and case handlers in committee administrative matters, ensuring that case preparation and documentation follow laws, guidelines and decided processes
- contribute to the development and efficiency of working methods and routines
- handle administrative processes related to the committee's work
The role involves many contact surfaces where you collaborate and build trusting relationships with politicians, managers and colleagues. The role also includes monitoring region-wide issues within committee administration and case handling, as well as participating in relevant networks.
Qualifications
- University degree in public administration, political science, law or equivalent knowledge
- Several years of experience in qualified work within public administration as a committee secretary, investigator or in a similar role
- Good knowledge of municipal/regional governance and the regulations governing public operations, such as the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act
- Very good administrative and linguistic skills in Swedish, accustomed to working in a structured, independent and quality-conscious manner in complex processes
It is meritorious if you have experience working in Public 360 and Microsoft 365, as well as holding a B-driver's license, as the work involves some travel within the region.
