About the Business Area

The Business Area (AO) Service Journeys is divided into two parts: medical transport and disability transport, and currently operates in 26 municipalities. Approximately 6,500 passengers travel daily with our 500 service vehicles. We help facilitate travel for people who would otherwise have difficulty getting to and from medical appointments, work, and social activities.

Today, there are approximately 140 employees in AO Service Journeys handling the processing of disability transport, medical transport, booking/planning of service journeys at the call center, customer-facing services, and business operations. Within the business area, there is also the operational pool, a resource unit that provides employees to cover vacancies in the call center, traffic control, and customer service. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our new modern headquarters in Hässleholm provides space for flexible working methods and cross-functional meetings. Here, you work in an activity-based manner, choosing your workstation based on your immediate needs. Our headquarters is located adjacent to the central station. You can easily reach us by train or bus from all over Skåne.

Responsibilities

We now have the opportunity to welcome an Operational Leader to our team! The Operational Leader is responsible for the daily management of operations within Call Center 1, in collaboration with the Unit Manager and other counterparts within AO Service Journeys. As an Operational Leader, you play a key role within the unit, where your main task is to ensure quality assurance that operations deliver the expected quality based on given resources, routines, and guidelines.

As an Operational Leader, you are involved in the overall planning of the unit to ensure efficient workflows and that the unit and call center deliver high service levels. You lead, coach, and develop employees in the daily operational work. Furthermore, you assist in handling and resolving emerging technical operational issues.

In this role, you are expected to propose improvements and participate in developing materials for new routines, guidelines, and working methods. You are also expected to drive change initiatives and smaller projects within the call center. Additionally, you serve as an administrative and operational support to the Unit Manager.

Working hours are during standard office hours on weekdays; occasional evening shifts may occur.

Qualifications

We welcome you if you have a completed three-year university or college degree, or alternatively a vocational education or equivalent competence deemed relevant by the employer. You have previous experience in a similar role, such as Operational Leader, Team Leader, or Coordinator. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. As the operations are primarily digital and involve working in multiple business systems simultaneously, it is a prerequisite that you have very good computer skills.

Experience working with traffic control systems/business systems within public transport, such as PASS, is considered meritorious. It is also positive if you have had a similar role in politically governed operations and if you have completed leadership training.

To succeed in this role, you have excellent communication skills and can adapt your message to the target audience and situation. You are responsible, work independently, take initiative, and drive your work forward in a structured and methodical way with a focus on quality and results. You have the ability to initiate, unite, and drive development issues. Furthermore, you collaborate effectively with others and easily build good relationships through a coaching and trust-building approach. You are also skilled at prioritizing and maintaining focus and calm even in high-pressure situations.
