About Unika Aspen

Unika Aspen is a Supported Living Facility (BMSS) focusing on Person Group 1, Autism, and Intellectual Disability (ID). The activity, which started in 2021, is located in a beautiful, nature-friendly setting by Lake Aspen, approximately 5 minutes from Aspen Station. Here you are welcome to a cheerful and positive team that works every day to provide the best possible care for those living with us. We are currently looking for 2-3 summer replacements who want to work during the summer, June-August.

About the Role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, basing our work on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the residents to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, thriving in teamwork. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
  • Experience working in care and social services.
  • Secondary education, e.g., Child and Youth Program or Care and Health Program, or post-secondary education, e.g., Support Pedagogue, Social Pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
Merits if you additionally have:
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective interaction.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Temporary / Summer Replacement
Part-time/Full-time: Varying
Working Hours: Day, evening, weekend, awake night shifts
Start Date: According to agreement, we view it positively if you can start soon.
Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
