The Section's overarching mission is to drive the development of the University's employer policy as well as the HR organization's overarching mission and role at the University. We assist the University with the processes, tools, systems, and services within the HR area that enable and create conditions for well-developed leadership and employee engagement, which in turn contribute to the University reaching its goals. We are nearly 50 employees working with everything from business-proximate HR services, overarching employer support, system issues, to competence and executive recruitment. The Section's workplace is located on Sandgatan in central Lund.

The Division for Business-Proximate HR Services provides business-proximate consultative HR support, both operational and strategic, to the operations within Lund University that have chosen to utilize the service. Those of us working in the division are a positive and competent team consisting of 9 HR Partners and 4 HR Administrators. We are located centrally in Lund together with other colleagues within the HR Section.

Tasks and Responsibilities

You will work in an administrative role involving support and advice on personnel administrative matters for our operations. You will also work as a case handler in the University's recruitment system and payroll system.

Since the Division for Business-Proximate HR enters into agreements with various operations, you should be prepared to alternate between different clients within the University.

We are looking for an HR Administrator who thrives in an administrative role and has experience providing personnel administrative support. Your tasks include, among other things:

  • providing advice and support in employment and personnel administrative matters
  • processing recruitment and employment cases
  • managing vacations, leave, honoraria, etc.
  • monitoring and handling fixed-term employment and pension retirements
  • assisting with other common administrative tasks, such as document registration and archiving.

The tasks may change and develop over time in accordance with the needs of the business.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

  • University degree in HR or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • basic knowledge of labor law and recruitment
  • good knowledge and experience of administrative systems and programs
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • unpretentious approach to your tasks and very good ability to collaborate with many parties
  • good teamwork skills, self-initiating, proactive, and service-oriented.

Merits for the position are:

  • experience and knowledge of Lund University's organization, administrative systems, and regulations
  • experience from work within public administration
  • experience in administrative HR work.

Consideration will be given to how the applicant, through their experience and competence, is assessed to complement and strengthen the administrative work within the division.

The position is a fixed-term contract starting September 28, 2026, or as agreed, until September 28, 2027, or until the permanent employee returns to work.
