About Skyddsvärnet - anno 1910

Skyddsvärnet - anno 1910 offers emergency and family home care throughout Sweden – for all ages and all types of assignments. Since 1981, we have provided family home care in close cooperation with social services and the prison and probation service, accepting assignments regardless of background or issues. We also offer placements for individuals with protected identities.

Today, we have around 150 assessed and approved family homes spread across Sweden, with a particular concentration around the Mälaren Valley. In addition to family home care, we also run a disengagement program and open care with relapse prevention.

About the Assignment

We are now looking for a stable and secure contact person with a focus on social skills training. This role involves being a concrete support in the young person's daily life – through relationship-building work, clear boundary setting, and structured training in practical and social skills. The young person is in a period where positive attitudes towards crime may exist, which is why it is important that you can work in a motivating and long-term manner.

As a contact person, you will meet the young person in everyday situations, focusing on strengthening their ability to make sustainable and prosocial choices.

Focus Areas

• Skills training in daily routines and social interaction
• Motivational interviewing and relationship-building work
• Support in breaking destructive behaviors and negative social circles
• Activities that promote structure, responsibility, and positive interests
• Collaboration with networks and professional actors when needed

We are looking for someone who

• Is secure, clear, and has a good ability to build relationships
• Has experience working with young people at risk
• Works with low affectivity and professionally
• Can set boundaries and create motivation in a thoughtful way
• Values long-term commitment and continuity

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with youth close to crime
• Education in social work, treatment pedagogy, or similar
• Experience in skills training and motivational work

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Practical Information

The position involves 5 hours per week with placement in Alingsås. Start date is immediate.
