Responsibilities

We are looking for a Social Worker for our investigation group for children and young people. Do you want to work in a dedicated and supportive work group where you have the opportunity to make a difference for children, young people, and their families? Then this might be the job for you!

At our authority unit, you will become part of a work group consisting of social workers, family home secretaries, child secretaries, and a unit manager who provides support in daily work. We value good collaboration and an open climate.

In the role of Social Worker, you will work with preliminary assessments, investigations, and follow-up of interventions for children and adolescents according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). A particularly appreciated part of the work is the opportunity to follow families through the entire process from first contact to conclusion.

We strive to meet families in a respectful and accessible manner to understand their needs and offer the right support. Our approach is based on strengthening the resources of children and parents themselves, as well as motivating change and development.

The social services are in an exciting phase of development due to new legislation, which gives us good opportunities to think new and develop our working methods, especially regarding early detection and meeting needs for support.

Working with children and young people is both challenging and developing. To create good conditions for the assignment, we offer external supervision, regular team meetings every week, individual case reviews, and close support in daily work.

In Örkelljunga, social workers for children and young people work closely together with social workers for adults. Therefore, we look for someone who thrives in collaboration and team work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to be part of providing support, help, and protection to children, young people, and their families based on current legislation. You should want to be part of a work group where we support and help each other, with a good work climate and a workplace where we collaborate in our different roles when needed.

• Education: The work requires a degree in Social Work (Social Work). This is a requirement to be eligible for the position.
• Experience: We would like you to have experience with authority work involving children and young people.
• System Knowledge: It is meritorious if you have experience with the Lifecare system, but otherwise, we will teach you!
