Job Description
At Södermalm Youth Clinic, you will work in a group consisting of counselors, midwives, and doctors. As a counselor, you will primarily work with individual support conversations with young people, although conversations with guardians, relatives, and partners also occur. As a counselor, you provide support and counseling on issues such as mental health, identity, relationships, and sexuality. The clinic also offers support and treatment to groups of young people.
Employees at Södermalm Youth Clinic have developed a method called "Kasam," which aims to increase young people's sense of coherence. It is a structured method directed toward a specific treatment goal and includes assessment, evaluation, and follow-up.
An important part of the role involves outward-facing work in the form of holding presentations and lectures, for example, for school classes on study visits. You need to be comfortable speaking in front of others.
To succeed in the role of a counselor, you must be able to work independently and have strong collaboration skills. You need to be able to collaborate and plan together with colleagues from other professions. The clinic is well-visited, and during certain periods, the demand is high; therefore, you must be able to prioritize and define the boundaries of your work to succeed in the role.
Qualifications

- Basic education in psychotherapy, step 1.
- Experience working independently with treatment aimed at teenagers.
Education in sexology is an advantage. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
