The Pulmonary Medicine area belongs to the Department of Cardiology and Pulmonary Medicine. Within the area, there are lung wards and highly specialized outpatient teams distributed across Malmö and Lund. At the Bronchoscopy Outpatient Clinic in Lund, we work in teams consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, medical secretaries, contact nurses, and social workers to provide excellent lung cancer care.

We are a highly specialized unit where patients come to be investigated for various lung diseases, but the primary focus is on the investigation of lung cancer. In our workflow, the patient starts with a doctor and contact nurse before moving on to the investigation phase where the bronchoscopy is performed. Our unit is constantly developing with a positive forward-looking spirit where the patient's well-being is always in focus.

DUTIES

We welcome a nurse with great commitment to our lovely team at the Bronchoscopy Outpatient Clinic!

In your role as a nurse with us, you will have a working day with varied and stimulating tasks in a changing pace. You work in a team with pleasant and committed colleagues where you together offer the patient a safe examination and care. The work involves assisting with high-tech diagnostics. Furthermore, it includes pre- and post-operative care of patients who have undergone, for example, bronchoscopy, EBUS, and endobronchial interventions under anesthesia. We also perform pleural taps and drain insertions.

We are a highly specialized facility, which provides good development opportunities for our employees. To help you further develop within our department, we have regular internal training with both external and internal lecturers. You are also warmly welcome to observe other facilities.

The advertisement refers to daytime service, Monday to Friday. Some weekend service on lung ward 1 in Lund occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with permission to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement. If you have previous experience as a nurse, preferably within endoscopy and/or lung care/lung surgery, it is meritorious.

You are confident in your professional role, flexible, and have a good ability to work independently.
