Unika LSS Omsorg has opened a new residence in Mölndal, specially adapted for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Here, specialist competence is combined with thoughtfully designed environments to create the best possible conditions for security and quality of life. The facility opened during the first quarter of 2026.
Sporredsvägen 24 is located close to nature and in a secluded setting, with good access to public services but at a distance from restaurants and grocery stores. This reduces external stimuli and contributes to a calm and stable environment, which is particularly important for individuals with PWS.
Do you want to be part of a learning organization? Unika has a network of operations directed towards people with PWS and offers continuous supervision and training. Unika has its own PWS coordinator and collaborates with the PWS Association in Sweden.
About the Role of Support AssistantAs a support assistant, you will work to provide individually adapted support to individuals with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, starting from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.
QualificationsYou are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, and you enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the needs of the individual.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
- Experience working in healthcare and social care.
- Upper secondary education such as Child and Youth Program, Care and Nursing Program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
Meritorious if you additionally have:
- Experience in psychiatry, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), and low-affective handling.
- Experience working with complex support needs.
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment Work Hours: Variable Working Hours: Day, Evening, Awake Night, Sleeping On-Call. Start Date: By agreement, we view it positively if you can start soon. Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements to Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Sector E.
