We are seeking casual staff for our LSS (Support and Service Act) operations in Hölö.

The working hours are distributed across few but long shifts, making it possible to combine the work with studies or other employment.

At Åbykulle, we are looking for care assistants for casual employment at our LSS housing facilities in Hölö. Here, we work to create a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life for our main clients – individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities and extensive support needs.

About the role

As a care assistant at our LSS housing facilities, you work closely with the main clients and provide individually adapted support in daily life. You help create a safe home environment, work pedagogically and relationally, and support the main clients in their independence and participation in everyday life.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide individually adapted support in daily activities such as personal care, household chores, the client's work at day activities (DA), and during leisure activities.
  • Work pedagogically to promote independence, participation, and development.
  • Be a present and secure adult in the clients' daily lives.
  • Document according to current routines and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other professionals.
  • Participate in training and meetings and contribute to the operation's quality work.

Qualifications

  • Education within care, social work, pedagogy, or another relevant field.
  • Previous experience working in LSS housing or with individuals with functional variations.
  • Category B driving license (manual transmission).
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • A flexible, responsible, and secure approach in your professional role.

Meritorious experience and knowledge

  • Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, low-affective handling, and other adapted methodologies.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors and communication support such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • Interest in creating an active and stimulating everyday life for the main clients.
