Family Therapist for Danderyd Municipality's School Social Team

We are now looking for an engaged family therapist to join Danderyd Municipality's school social team, a unit where social work and schools collaborate to create the best possible conditions for children and young people to thrive, develop, and succeed in school.

The Social Services Administration is in the midst of a cultural journey where we are jointly developing the social services of the future with a focus on quality, collaboration, and the needs of citizens. We invest in competence development through initiatives such as "Yrkesresan" and work in modern premises in Mörby Centrum.

The Family Department consists of 42 employees and is responsible for the social services' work with children and young people, excluding interventions under the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We work with legally secure case processing, clear routines, and early interventions to provide children and families with the right support at the right time.

Job Responsibilities

As a family therapist in the school social team, you have a clear mandate to strengthen the life situation of children, young people, and their families, with school attendance as a central arena.

You work close to the students' daily lives in close collaboration with the school. Through the school social team, an important link is created between social services and the school, focusing on early, preventive, and coordinated interventions. The work is based on the best interests of the child and is characterized by a holistic perspective where the individual, family, and school environment interact.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Work in close collaboration with the school
• Focus on children, young people, and their families, offering support, motivation, and change work
• Strengthen school attendance and prevent problematic school absenteeism
• Conduct individual conversations and family-oriented interventions
• Collaborate closely with schools, student health services, and other relevant actors
• Be an active part of the school social team's joint work and development
• Contribute to creating sustainable solutions for students in need of support
• Document according to current legislation and guidelines

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Social Work (Social Work)
• Experience in social work with children, young people, and families
• Good knowledge of child development, risk, and protective factors
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

The following are meritorious:

• Experience in family therapy or change work
• Experience working with school absenteeism
• Experience in collaboration between social services and schools
