In Upplands-Bro Municipality, we have approximately 2,000 employees dedicated to providing our residents and visitors with the best possible service and experience. Here, you contribute to building a municipality where a holistic perspective, engagement, and professionalism permeate the organization, and together we carry out our shared societal mission.

We are now looking for a Social Secretary who wants to help develop early, flexible, and coordinated work with children and young people. The position is located in a cross-professional group where social secretaries work closely with therapists, SIG coordinators, and other key actors involved with the youth and their families.

The work is characterized by close collaboration from the very beginning of the investigation process. In our operations, we believe in early interventions and the ability to quickly meet young people and families where their needs are greatest. This means that therapists and SIG coordinators are involved early in the investigation, and support measures can begin before the investigation is concluded.

As a Social Secretary, you are responsible for investigating the needs for support and protection of children and young people according to the Social Services Act, as well as following up on approved measures. At the same time, you work closely with therapists and SIG coordinators in the practical change work regarding the young person. The role involves active collaboration with, among others, schools, police, guardians, and other external actors.

Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an engaged team with high competence, where development, collaboration, and early preventive work are in focus.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have a degree in social work or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment
  • Have experience in authority enforcement within child and youth services
  • Have experience and competence in systemic approaches
  • Have experience in therapeutic work within the target group
  • Are confident in your professional role and accustomed to working independently
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive in teamwork
  • Are flexible and solution-focused

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

  • Work with young people in risk zones for norm-breaking behavior
  • SIG/SSPF work or other collaboration structures
  • Crime prevention work
  • Signs of Safety or other structured working methods

We offer:
