As an employee at Björkebyskolan, you work together in both work teams and subject teams in close collaboration with the school's student health team. The position includes teaching in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) and a group in German.

Björkebyskolan has a good organization for SVA teaching where students study SVA in parallel with Swedish lessons. The school leadership and the student health team have continuous meetings with teaching SVA teachers to monitor the teaching. We will also invest in ensuring that all SVA and Swedish teachers at the school receive competence development in the assessment tool "Bygga svenska" during the autumn. The role also includes mentorship for a group in the lower secondary school (grades 7-9).

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the development group for SVA at the school.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in SVA and German according to the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22).
• Mapping according to municipal routines.
• Assess and document students' knowledge development.
• Actively participate in the work performed in the work team and subject team.
• Be able to participate in both subject-specific and school-wide development work.
• Mentorship is included, which means guiding students, acting as a link between home and school, monitoring goal fulfillment, and attendance.
• Collaboration regarding students and student groups with colleagues and the school's student health team.

Qualifications

• Legitimized teacher with qualifications to teach SVA and German in grades 6-9.
• Documented good knowledge of the subjects.
• Good skills in expressing oneself both orally and in writing.
• Experience of teaching in lower secondary school grades 7-9 and of working according to Lgr 22.
• Good digital competence.
• Personal suitability is meritorious.
