About the role and your responsibilities

As a special needs pedagog, you will work actively on knowledge and skills together with students in need of special support. You will conduct pedagogical mapping of the pedagogical environment surrounding these students and will have great opportunities to develop and lead the group's pedagogical development work. Within the framework of the assignment, you will drive an active inclusion work in all matters, especially regarding students with needs within the neuropsychiatric area.

You work to ensure that the student feels as involved and independent as possible in all contexts. As a special needs pedagog with us, you have close cooperation with the educators where you together find different ways to move the work with special support and extra adjustments forward. In addition to teaching, the role includes supervision for teachers and student assistants, as well as mapping assignments and follow-up according to the guidelines of the governing documents. You assist with development plans and action programs. You are involved in handover and follow-up during transitions between stages and other school units. Continuous contact and collaboration with guardians is also an important part of your assignment.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have a degree as a special needs pedagog or special teacher with a primary school teacher degree, preferably with a focus on grades F-6. It is meritorious if you have previously worked as a special needs pedagog or special teacher. It is also meritorious if you have worked as a primary school teacher in grades F-6 as well as with early mathematics learning and reading learning.

To succeed in the role, you need to enjoy working independently and be a hub in the student health work at the school, both promoting, remedial, but above all preventive. Furthermore, you need to feel a great commitment to and be driving in the development of our systematic quality work.

As a person, you are solution-focused and flexible, and you have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances. You have good cooperation skills and create good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues. Knowledge of digital systems and tools is a requirement.
