The LSS provider in the Norra Innerstaden area performs interventions according to the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments). We provide interventions to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to offer support and services based on the individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in societal life for our users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured way of working, and a low-affective and respectful treatment of tenants and colleagues.

We are now looking for a positive, driven, and solution-oriented Support Pedagogue (Stödpedagog) who wants to work in Unit 4 at Tyresta Group Home in Norra Innerstaden!

Your role

In the role of Support Pedagogue, you mentor and implement pedagogical working methods and are responsible for their development in collaboration with management. You serve as a sounding board for your colleagues and the work group to develop working methods and mentor colleagues in writing implementation plans. You continuously update yourself on pedagogical and evidence-based knowledge and inform the work group about this. Your duties also include searching, sorting, collecting, and spreading facts, information, and new findings of significance. You will also participate in the daily tasks at the group home. 25% of your working time is allocated as Support Pedagogue time, and the remaining 75% you work as a Support Assistant in the operations.

The operations are staffed 24/7, so you will work on a schedule that includes morning, day, evening, and every other weekend shifts.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • A Support Pedagogue degree from a University College (200 credits).
  • Work experience with severe and very severe functional impairments (IF) as well as in combination with the autism spectrum.
  • Current training in PECS/TAKK (Picture Exchange Communication System / Signs as support for speech and communication).
  • Swimming proficiency and confidence in water.
  • Fluency in Swedish in both speech and writing.
  • Good computer skills and experience documenting according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the LSS Act.

You are development-oriented, good at collaborating, but also capable of taking individual responsibility and working independently.
