Main Responsibilities

As a Training Officer, your task is to train, develop, and exercise capabilities in both individual personnel and units. You will be part of a work team with roles such as assistant, exercise director, or course commander. You will receive training assignments that you are responsible for planning, preparing, and leading during execution. The work involves regular travel with overnight stays, sometimes for several weeks and also on weekends.

Qualifications

  • Specialist officer with a passed exam from one of the FM Specialist Training courses, or alternatively a re-commissioned NBO officer
  • 3-year upper secondary education
  • Driver's license at least class B and manual transmission
  • Swedish citizenship
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

Meritorious

  • Experience in training units at least up to platoon size
  • Good ability to act as an exercise director on a shooting range
  • Experience in conducting FUSA (Field Unit Support Activities) with hand-held weapon systems
  • Pistol instructor
  • Security guard instructor
  • Ability to train in basic medical services
  • CBRN competence with the ability to conduct tightness control
  • Experience and habit of working in a dynamic, changing context

Personal Attributes

We are looking for you who enjoy working in a training role. A pedagogical approach and effective training where the student's development is in focus is what you strive for. Being up-to-date and being a role model is important to you. You have great empathetic ability and can easily put yourself in the student's situation. This allows you to know when it is time to accelerate or brake in the training pace.

Furthermore, we are looking for you who are responsible and careful even when the work pace is high. You have the ability to handle several different tasks and processes simultaneously. You have good cooperation skills and find it easy to adapt to new tasks. You approach the assignment in a structured way and have a good ability to work independently. You have the ability to lead and distribute work so that a larger work team can be effective together.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

The form of employment is as a professional officer on a full-time basis. If you are not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces, your first 6 months will consist of a probationary period. Travel is part of the job. The place of assignment is Stockholm, and the start date is as soon as possible or according to agreement.
